Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence startup Sarvam AI has officially launched its developer and enterprise platform, Epoch Builder Edition, aimed at accelerating the development of India-centric AI applications. Announced on July 31, 2026, the platform provides infrastructure, curated datasets, and base models explicitly designed to understand complex Indian linguistic contexts, including code-mixed vernacular like Hinglish.

 Sarvam AI Epoch Builder Edition is a specialized developer and enterprise platform that allows organizations to build, fine-tune, and deploy large language models (LLMs) optimized for Indian languages, Hinglish phrasing, and localized regulatory data without relying on overseas AI infrastructure.

Democratizing India-Centric AI Infrastructure: As Indian enterprises rapidly adopt generative AI, standard global models often struggle with local dialects, mixed-language syntax, and region-specific regulatory frameworks. Sarvam AI’s platform directly addresses this gap by offering base models equipped with GPU clusters for distributed training, instruction tuning, and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF).

To ensure data privacy and compliance, the platform includes built-in toxicity checks, red-teaming utilities, and benchmarking tailored to India’s cultural landscape. Sarvam AI has partnered with three IITs and two state governments to launch pilot projects across education and public service delivery.
