  3. Additional tips : Use some dry fruits like (almonds, cashews, pistachios) – 2 tbsp

Step-by-Step Recipe

1. Roasting the Sesame Seeds

  • First of all, heat the pan which is heavy-bottomed on low flame.
  • Add sesame seeds and dry roast them until they turn light golden and aromatic. Keep stirring to avoid burning.
  • After roasted, keep the seeds in another plate and let them cool.

2. Preparing the Jaggery Mixture

  • In the same kadhai, add grated jaggery and a few teaspoons of water.
  • Heat the jaggery on low flame until it melts and forms a sticky syrup.
  • To check the consistency, drop a little syrup in water—if it hardens instantly, the syrup is ready.

3. Combining the Ingredients

  • Add sesame seed into the jaggery syrup.
  • Mix both to coat the sesame seeds with jaggery syrup.

4. Shaping the Laddoos

  • Add some ghee on your hand to prevent sticking.
  • Take a little part of the light hot mixture and make round laddoos.
  • .If desired, add chopped dry fruits while shaping for an extra crunch.
